  1. While I hate being a bother, a useful feature to move to the top of the list should be a choice to prevent the extension from downloading multiples of the same file. Thank you, and keep up the good work.

    1. Désolé d'entendre, c'est la première fois qu'un tel problème est signalé.
      Pouvez-vous s'il vous plaît dire quelle version Chrome utilisez-vous et je vais essayer de résoudre ce problème.

  3. would love to be able to quickly filter based on text input-- give me a little text input box and I type "save" and everything with "save" in the link title gets selected/highlighted

  6. I would love Download Master to remember the save location by hostname/url (maybe also by a custom pattern/regex). Example:
    Downloads from
    yahoo.com => /home/user/downloads/yahoo
    google.com => /home/user/google_files
    */music/* => /home/user/music
    *.mp3 => /home/user/music
    music([0-9]+) => /home/user/music/year/$1

      Custom download target is harder to implement than I thought. The HTML5 File APIs are not allowing writing files to user space outside browsers sandbox. I'll elaborate on my direction with this in the next post.

  7. Download Master is great, but I ran into a problem when I tried to download a page full of links to PDFs. My Chrome download bar just got overloaded with almost two messages asking me to keep or delete the PDFs. Is there a way to turn off that question and just let Chrome download it?

    1. Thanks for the feedback Ron.

      Chrome currently does not support overriding this warning message. I believe they are working on that:
      http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=9044
      http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=87192

      As a workaround you can force Chrome to ask you where to save each file:
      Chrome Options -> Under the hood -> Ask where to save each file before downloading

      Hope it was helpful

  8. The extension seems to work fine, but just one comment, to save file by file is quite annoying, why can't we just confirm once the save of multiple files, i.e. all files download in the same folder.
    Is this option available? Where can I change this?
    I understand when you say that Chrome can save all files into the same folder, buy I want to choose that folder just before the downloads.

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Diogo, sorry for the delay in the response.

      You've probably set the "Ask where to save each file before downloading" in Chrome download settings.
      All the browser including Chrome blocks automatic access to the disk. Access may be performed only by confirmation dialog and with user approval.

      Now currently there is no API for me to use in order to get to this functionality (defining download location and downloading there).
      The new HTML5 technology brings some hope with FileAPI.

      I'm looking into solving this issue as it bugs a lot of users.

      Hope that answers your question.

      Please let me know if you want more details.

  9. I have been using Download Master for a while now, but all of a sudden, I Can no longer choose .SVG File, nor can I use the option of choosing another file type (Silhouette Studio) in the filter section. Any ideas of what is going on? Thanks!
